Pig Signaler
Pig signalers show the exact passing place of pigs in pipelines to the operators by mechanical or electrical mechanism. In pigging process, detecting the exact place of pig to control pigging operation has great importance.
The detection is done in two ways:
Mechanical mechanism
In this mechanism, when pig touches the point of pig signaler, the flag position changes from horizontal position to vertical one and this shows the place of pig.
Electrical mechanism
In this mechanism when pig touches the point of electrical switch, a signal is sent to the receiver and then the place of pig is shown.
